2019 Kia Sedona Features

The New 2019 Kia Sedona is a Mix of Comfort and Elegance

Headquartered in Seoul, Kia Motors is next only to Hyundai in terms of automobile manufacturing. Kia Motors has been manufacturing mid-size passengers and five-door fastbacks such as Kia Optima and Kia Stinger apart from crossover SUVs in the form of Kia Sportage and Sorento. The company entered the minivan segment in 2002 with the Sedona which is now into its third generation of production. With a reputation as one of the most luxurious in its class, many consumers are keen on purchasing the 2019 Kia Sedona.

Elegant updates in 2019 The 2019 Kia Sedona has been redesigned completely; redesigned wheels, updated rear and front bumpers, new LED headlights, a revised grille, and fog lights are some of the pleasing updates on the new Sedona. The trim levels that are available include L, LX, EX, SX, and SX-L.

Technology updates are in the form of the cutting-edge UVO Intelligence system that enables the owner to connect to the car through a smartphone app. Using the app, the owner gets information on the parking location of the car, apart from being able to control door locks and the lights through the smartphone remotely.

Another upgrade to the 2019 Sedona relates to the driver attention alert technology. This system monitors driver actions and detects when the driver is drowsy or distracted. The system then alerts the driver to take a break

Mechanical changes include an 8-speed automatic transmission that is in place of the 6-speed transmission in previous versions. The 2019 Sedona features a 3.3L V6 engine that delivers 276 horsepower and 248 lb-ft of torque.

Safety and driver comfort features include Surround View Monitor (SVM) that is available in some trims. With four mounted cameras, the driver can get a bird’s-eye view on the in-dash screen. The 360° perspective makes maneuvering and navigating a breeze even in the tightest of corners. Standard safety features are blind spot collision warning, Forward-Collision Avoidance, and Rear Cross Traffic Collision Warning among others. With Smart Power Liftgate™ technology, all the car owner has to do is stand behind the vehicle to automatically open the liftgate without the use of key or hands.
